The beach at the hotel was great. Everything is very clean. Room was good. Overall, it was a good experience and in a quiet part of Cancun. Near airport. The staff are super nice and helpful.

Hotel is older, and they did keep closing parts of the beach side pool, and the hot tub did not really work. Wave machine was broken. They hit us with the good ol' time share presentation offer for free breakfast, which was fine--but not expected.

Far from the busy tourist spot of Cancun but bussyop to thhe spots are just outside the resort. Clean, big and great pool/beach area.

Comfortable option in the Zona Hotelera

Comfortable beds, Breakfast was amazing, clean pools. Some nice eating choices nearby the hotel. Friendly staff.

Rooms need an upgrade. Lighting not very good, bathrooms could be bigger given the size of the room so you can have a bigger bath and shower. The hotel has three complexes, and if you’re in the third complex and you have a problem with your key you have a long way to go to the reception. 10:00 checkout is far too early, given that most people’s flights are in the evening, you’ll have a long day before you head to the airport. Not enough eating choices.

Beachfront hotel with great food, staff, and views

Every morning we enjoyed a great breakfast buffet that provided a great selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian local and traditional breakfast items. Everything was fresh and tastefully presented. The sportsbar also had delicious food. Our room had an ocean view with beach access. Beds were super comfortable. Everything I needed was provided in this room from basic toiletries, to an iron/board, fridge, and coffee maker. Having a store and coffee place onsite also helped on rainy days and to grab some last minute sundries. Staff was very helpful. Overall I would say every staff member we encountered was cheerful and friendly which made us feel very comfortable during our stay.

I feel for the price, the rooms should have been better maintained. Orange stained bathtub, peeling grout in the bathroom; I felt I was being charged a bit much for anything less than an immaculately clean bathroom. Also, while I appreciate the credit card only policy, it made it difficult to budget and plan anything for meals or extracurricular activities. With additional held fees, meals, buying from the stores or in house coffee shop, it would have been easier to use cash. sometimes. Not everyone has endless credit on their cards. I feel their website and advertisements should mention this major detail to guests before hand. Though there were ATMs onsite, it didn't make sense since we could only use the cash for a taxi.

Great place to stay. Wish I had stayed longer.

The place was beautiful, clean, and fun!

Bar prices were a little steep. They pulled a fast one for Happy Hour. Buy 1 get 1 but the drinks weee half the size of the normal drinks.

Overall it was worth it.

The beach and the facilities are great. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The thing we liked the most were cooking and cocktail making classes. We had some sea activities cancelled due to the weather, so those classes really saved the vacation.

Some of the staff wasn’t really hospitable or friendly.

Great location; nice stay

Great location of the hotel with nice sets of indoor pools and outdoor beach access. Easy car parking too! Good to have on-site coffee shop and small marketplace.

Wish they could've extended late check-out as opposed to the early 10am check-out..

Value for money and lovely location but some improvements would make all the difference.

Location and beach were excellent. Stunning view and sunrise. Beautiful clean beach. Bus stop right outside. Very good buffet breakfast. Starbucks coffee shop great!

Property still needs a lot of repairs to be 4*. As Marriott Vacation Club owners we have been to a lot of Marriott-owned properties and this one is not to the same level as usual 4*. All room doors need changing and acoustics worked on in the corridors to absorb sound as it is a huge issue. There are no decorations or plants or anything to absorb sound. A la carte breakfast needs to be available from 7am at the restaurants. Wave Rider didn’t operate for whole 7 days we stayed much to the disappointment of our teens. Building 2 or D seemed a little forgotten and disconnected from the rest of the resort.

The beach is very narrow but still very beautiful. The room was very nice and clean, we were upgraded due to a little mixup to a beachfront balcony double room with a king bed. It was very nice, located in a more private building with a pool and the beach very near. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is super close to the airport.

The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation, so some parts are very nice and new, like the front desk... Expect construction noise in the main building. If you're looking for a quiet stay, do your best to book a room at the other extreme of the property; that building is very quiet. The seafood restaurant was bad, the food was not tasty. Only the breakfast is actually good. The beach is quite narrow, and also right next to the property there is what seems to be a deposit of old stuff which has wood, an old wave runner and some smelly seaweed. Regarding the room; the bathroom was nice and the front beach balcony was amazing, but the mattress was excessively soft, I felt like I was drowning in that bed, and we had trouble finding a comfortable pillow. We personally like it better when there is a remote for the AC. Here, the AC is very loud, the controls are stuck to the wall, and they give off a very bright light that might disturb you at night.

Wonderful

Friendly, professional bilingual staff--Rene and Vicente stand out :). Plenty of lounge chairs and towels. On site breakfast was great. We had the Mexican dinner buffet, which was delicious as well. The beds were comfortable, everything was in good working order and clean. We requested an early check-in and they were able to accommodate us several hours early, which was really helpful! The pools were a comfortable temperature, but if it is a chillier day, I recommend the pool on the lagoon side of the property, because it is a little warmer and gets more sunshine!

The stone floors were very cold--I recommend bringing slippers for walking around your room at night. They did try to convince us to hear their timeshare pitch.

Comfortable, convenient, friendly staff and good value for money

Convenient location (15 minute drive from the airport), friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with a view, good food in restaurants (particularly the Sea & Stone) and good value for money.

Some minor details such as the faucets in the shower that are kind of old and one of the three elevators was in maintenance or repair but the other two worked well.

The location is perfect. The room was on the ground floor directly in front of the pool and the beach. The room was big and clean. Little terrace up front was ideal. Pools are wonderful and very well maintained.

The fact that very loud construction was going on with welding and sandblasting should have been disclosed before booking. This is unaccceptable when you charge full price. Furthermore, the relentless push for some kind of timesharing set up is not what I want when I come to relax at the beach. Underwhelmed by your restaurants as well.
